Systems Overview

The Beechcraft King Air 300 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PT6A-60A turboprops, each producing 1,050 shp. Fuel capacity in each wing tank is 269.5 gallons (539 gallons total). Electrical power is supplied by two engine-driven generators rated at 30 VDC and 300 amps (regulated to 28.25 V). Ice and rain protection includes pneumatic boots, electric heating elements and engine bleed air. Cabin pressurization maintains 6.6 psid, which results in a 8,700-foot cabin altitude when cruising at 31,000 ft. The landing gear system is electrically controlled and hydraulically actuated.
